Pemayangtse Monastery:

Dating back to ancient times, Pemayangtse Monastery, meaning "The perfect, sublime lotus," holds great significance in Sikkim. Founded in 1705 by Lama Lhatsun Chenpo and later expanded by his successors, the monastery belongs to the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism. It plays a vital role in overseeing other monasteries of this order in Sikkim. Visitors will witness the traditional anointment of monks with holy water, and strict criteria are followed for selecting monks, primarily from the Bhutia community. This revered pilgrimage site attracts Buddhists from far and wide, owing to its historical roots and spiritual importance.

The three-storied structure of the monastery has undergone several renovations after earthquakes in 1913 and 1960. The walls are adorned with exquisite paintings and statues of revered Buddhist leaders. The main deity, Padmasambhava, is depicted in the Dorje Bhurpa Vjarakila form, traditionally represented with multiple heads and arms. The monastery complex features a remarkable seven-tiered painted wooden structure, believed to be Guru Rinpoche's heavenly palace, known as 'Santopalri.' The Late Dungzin Rinpoche single-handedly completed this intricate structure in just five years. Visitors will also be captivated by a diverse collection of paintings, Buddhist scriptures, idols, and other traditional literature. The complex boasts well-maintained gardens, where residential monks can be seen performing their daily rituals.

Singshore Bridge:

An engineering marvel, the Singshore Bridge is a suspension bridge. It is the highest bridge in Sikkim and the second highest in Asia, soaring at least 100 meters and spanning 200 meters. Lush green mountains surround the bridge and offer breathtaking views of the valley, making it a must-visit attraction for visitors seeking an exhilarating experience.

Kanchenjunga Falls:

Located approximately 28 km from Pelling town, Kanchenjunga Falls is one of the main waterfalls in Sikkim, maintaining its beauty throughout the year.
