The park boasts a majestic 130 ft high statue of Gautam Buddha, gracefully set amidst a well-maintained garden. Here, you can relish views of the Himalayas, seemingly floating in the clouds. BON MONASTERY
Located in Kewzing, a short distance from Ravangla, the Bon Monastery, also known as Bon Yung Dung Monastery, is one of the two monasteries in India belonging to the Bon sect of Buddhism. Founded by Yung Dung Tsultrim in 1980, it is an institute for learning Bon teachings, with provisions for less privileged students. The monastery showcases an array of Buddhist artifacts, paintings, and Buddha deities and offers insights into the daily routines of the young monks from the Bon sect.
RALANG MONASTERY
Distinctive among Sikkim's monasteries, Ralang Monastery captivates with its unique features. Embodying stark symmetry and brilliant construction, this monastery stands apart from others. Notably, Ralang Monastery can only be accessed via trekking, adding to its allure. Situated 13 km from Ravangla, this monastery symbolizes the luxury of Buddhists and is steeped in legendary tales of its creation.
