Packing tips for Bhutan

When you visit Bhutan in August, you will have a peaceful, scenic experience, but be prepared for the monsoon and the possibility of being wet. Rain is very unpredictable in Bhutan, so it is best to pack a rain jacket or poncho and waterproof shoes. We recommend also adding a travel-sized umbrella, quick-dry towel, and extra socks for an additional comfort factor and feeling fresh!

Mornings in Bhutan can be cool, so take along a light sweater or jacket. Also, a power bank and torchlight is a must, particularly in remote areas, not to mention good for emergencies. Finally, please ensure to make photocopies of your voter ID or passport, as this is required for obtaining permits.

Pack light, pack smart and immerse yourself into Bhutan’s greenest season, and ultimately have a stress-free experience!
