Darjeeling – Full-Day Sightseeing - An early-morning drive to Tiger Hill rewards you with a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayan range, including Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest.
- Watch the horizon shift through its colors just before dawn until the entire range glows gold, a truly majestic sight.
- On the way back, stop at the Ghoom Monastery, the area’s oldest, built in 1875 and home to a 15-ft image of the Maitreya Buddha, along with the Kanchenjunga View Point.
- A visit to the iconic Batasia Loop follows before you return to the hotel for breakfast.
- The city tour then takes in the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed Thursdays), founded by Tenzing Norgay after his ascent of Everest, and the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (closed Thursdays).
- Continue to the Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed Sundays); Tenzing Rock and Gombu Rock, a tea estate viewed from outside; and the serene Japanese Peace Pagoda.
