Day 1
Welcome to Gangtok
  • Whether you fly into Bagdogra or pull in by train at NJP, a familiar face will be waiting; your driver greets you, loads up the luggage, and handles the road ahead while you relax into the climb toward the hills.
  • Reach Gangtok, check in, and freshen up.
  • The rest of the day belongs to you; take an easy walk down MG Marg.
  • A hearty breakfast sets you up for a full day among some of Sikkim’s highest, most dramatic landscapes.
  • The first stop is Tsomgo (Changu) Lake, sitting at 12,400 ft and fed entirely by glacial meltwater, a sacred, oval-shaped lake that locals have revered for generations.
  • From there, continue to the New Baba Mandir, a memorial shrine surrounded by rugged peaks and big mountain skies.
  • Return to Gangtok by early evening.
  • Begin after breakfast with a full tour of the capital’s landmarks.
  • Soak up panoramic views from Tashi Viewpoint and pay your respects at the twin hilltop shrines of Hanuman Tok and Ganesh Tok.
  • Visit the historic Enchey Monastery, the colorful Flower Exhibition Centre, and the gleaming Do Drul Chorten stupa.
  • Explore Tibetan history at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, pick up handmade souvenirs at the Cottage Industry, ride the ropeway for a bird’s-eye view, and finish at the lovely Bakthang Falls.
  • Have breakfast, then begin the journey westward to Pelling.
  • The route trades the energy of the capital for sleepy villages, terraced fields, and thick pine forest as you head into quieter Sikkim.
  • At roughly 2,000 m, Pelling stays mild and comfortable through summer and turns crisp in winter. Arrive, settle into your hotel, and enjoy the slower pace.
  • A full day to take in the waterfalls, lakes, and heritage that make Pelling special.
  • See the powerful Kanchenjunga Falls and the gentler Rimbi Waterfall, and visit the revered Pemayangtse Monastery, one of Sikkim’s oldest.
  • Spend time at the holy Khecheopalri Lake, believed by locals to fulfill wishes, walk through the Orange Garden, and explore the Rabdentse Ruins, once the seat of Sikkim’s kings.
  • End at the Pelling Skywalk, a transparent glass walkway leading to a giant Chenrezig statue, with the mountains spread out before you.
  • After a relaxed breakfast, trade Pelling for the slopes of Darjeeling.

  • The drive is half the magic, endless tea gardens rolling down the hillsides, misty valleys, and the foothills opening up around you.

  • Roll into the legendary hill station that once charmed the British Raj, still famous for its heritage “Toy Train” and the finest tea in the world.

  • Check in, and let the cool air and Kanchenjunga’s silhouette welcome you in.

    • An early start takes you up to Tiger Hill for Darjeeling’s signature experience, sunrise over the Himalayas, when Kanchenjunga and, on the clearest days, Everest catch fire in pink and gold light.
    • On the return, drop by the 19th-century Ghoom Monastery, the Kanchenjunga Viewpoint, and the elegant Batasia Loop.
    • Return to the hotel for breakfast.
    • Spend the rest of the day touring the town, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, the heartfelt Tibetan Refugee Centre, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, the surrounding tea estates, and the calm Japanese Peace Pagoda.
    • Enjoy a final breakfast in the mountains before checking out.
    • Our driver will take you to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station with plenty of time to spare for your onward flight or train, sending you off with a week of mountain memories to take home.
