Explore dramatic mountain landscapes, glacial lakes and flower-filled valleys with this 4N/5D North Sikkim Tour Package. Beginning from NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, the journey includes two nights in Gangtok and overnight stays in Lachen and Lachung.

Travel from Gangtok to Lachen through the beautiful mountain roads of North Sikkim. Begin early the following morning for an excursion to Gurudongmar Lake, one of the region’s most spectacular high-altitude destinations, before continuing to Lachung.

Visit the famous Yumthang Valley, surrounded by alpine scenery and seasonal blooms, before returning to Gangtok. Optional excursions to Kala Patthar and Zero Point may be arranged at an additional cost, subject to permits, road conditions and weather. This compact itinerary is best suited to adventurous travellers comfortable with long drives and high altitudes.

Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station to Gangtok – Pick-up
  • Our driver will be on hand at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport to receive you and see you comfortably aboard your vehicle for the climb up to Gangtok.
  • Settle into your hotel on arrival, with the remainder of the day left open for rest and gentle acclimatization.
  • Set 1,750 m above sea level, Gangtok was named Sikkim’s capital in the mid-19th century and has flourished steadily ever since.
  • Across its downtown rise imposing government buildings adorned with traditional Buddhist symbols, and the city doubles as the gateway for anyone venturing into North Sikkim.
  • Wrapped in monasteries and orchids, it leaves a lasting impression on every traveler.
    • With breakfast behind you, depart at roughly 10:00 a.m. for the onward transfer to Lachen, which sits at 8,610 ft.
    • The route offers a pause at the picturesque Butterfly Viewpoint.
    • Do bear in mind that route diversions may alter the sightseeing stops along the way.

    Approximate distance: 130 km 

    Estimated travel time: 6 hours.

  • A pre-dawn departure leads to a half-day journey up to the magnificent Gurudongmar Lake, soaring at 17,800 ft.
  • That same day, the road then carries you onward to Lachung.
  • Worth noting: visiting Kala Pathar involves an additional charge of ₹3,500–4,000 per vehicle.

Estimated travel time: 10 hours.

  • Make an early start towards the celebrated Yumthang Valley, the “Valley of Flowers”, lying at 11,800 ft (3,598 m), about 25 km and roughly 1½ hours each way.
  • Once its blooms and vistas have worked their charm, retrace the route back down to Gangtok.

 

NOTE: The Zero Point extension involves an additional charge of ₹3,500–4,000 per vehicle.

  • Savor one last breakfast at the hotel before the drive down to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, scheduled to fit neatly around your onward flight or train.

Payment Policy

  • Bookings Made 60 to 30 Days Prior to Tour Date
    An advance payment of 30% of the total tour cost + 5% GST is required at the time of booking. The balance amount must be paid as per the company payment schedule communicated at the time of confirmation.
  • Bookings Made 20 Days Prior to Tour Date
    An advance payment of 30% of the total tour cost + 5% GST is required at the time of booking. Upon issuance of the hotel confirmation voucher (within 3 business days), an additional 20% of the total tour cost + 5% GST must be paid. The remaining balance amount must be settled on the day of arrival.

Cancellation has to be sent to us by Mail/Fax.

  • 30 Days from The Date of Booking: Only Communication Charges Rs.2000 Per Person.
  • 21-30 Days Prior To Departure : 25% Of Tour Cost
  • 11-20 Days Prior To Departure : 50% Of Tour Cost
  • 10 Days Prior To Departure : Full Cancellation
